| It is a strange time of the year. "...and it was very good." hip hip hoo-ray. | | |
| oogly boogly, last weekend my parents moved away from the only home us three Korner kids have ever known in tulsa, and moved to oklahoma city. as i walked through the house for the last time, all by myself, i was strangely emotionally unmoved. memories of things that happended in each part of the house flooded my mind, but yet i felt very little. those days are gone and i think i knew that. mom and dad will be together now which is a very grand thing. dad is very happy. along with saying goodbye to our neighborhood we said goodbye to the church i had gone to my whole life. they had a reception for us after the worship service where people told stories and each one of us korners had an opportunity to express our gratitude to the congregation as they passed the microphone around. it was at that time that i witnessed my dad cry for the first time in my life. he has always been stone faced. however he cried when he said goodbye to the church that i thought he would be indifferent about leaving. If anything, saying good-bye taught me two things: First, i have been rediculously blessed to grow up in the neighborhood, church, school, and around the people that i have known since birth. surely God has been better than i deserve. Secondly, it is not the places of my youth that i will miss, but it is the people that filled those places. people shape character, people love, people disciple you, not a place. poopie scoopie, the days to come will be good. | | |

The Church is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. The Church exists to worship God, and train believers to serve God and their neighbor. Our attitude should be that of Christ Jesus.... Happy All Saints Day | | |
| He must become greater; I must become less. Christ is the star of the show. He is front and center on the stage of his creation. We are the spotlight operators. We live our lives to shine light on him and who he is. Our job is to make him known to others, to highlight his presene. The spotlight operator never recieves any glory and should not seek to be glorified. He takes joy in a job well done. The light man works simply to glorify the One on stage, the God of the universe, the Savior of the world, or so says pastor Castleman and the Bible. very others-directed | | |
| bogusaurus, Fall break is approaching its end and it took an unexpected but restful turn. No OC trip due to a slight hernia that may need a surgical procedure to fix, but that let me spend more time with family. Reid got to stay the night on friday before he made the treck to knoxville. it was a grand ole time and he is probably the best most polite house guest in the history of house guests. Rest...yes this has been a very restful break. i'm beginning to see how important it is to rest. three cheers for plenty of sleep and plenty of televised football games. sunday night i got to see my friend matt who is a new Christian but is crazy in love with the Lord. then drove out to the country and played Ryan Adams with my windows down. nice. yay for fall break, yay for going back to school. | | |
